Toyota Etios Liva has been well designed and brings clean and understated styling which may not appeal to everyone but will welcomed by most people who like neutral and simple styling. It has a sporty character and brings OEM skirts and rear spoiler which adds to the character of this hatchback. Toyota has done well to take care while building this car and the build quality, fit and finish of the Etios Liva is very good.


Chevrolet Sail UVA has contemporary styling yet remains simple and elegant. It has clean and neutral lines to its exterior design and resembles the larger Cruze sedan. It is a very good looking hatchback in the Indian car market and brings mildly swooping headlamps. It has body colored bumpers with integrated fog lamps and the build quality is excellent. The fit, finish and paint quality is top notch on the Sail UVA.

Interiors – design, space and features:


Toyota has given good interiors to the Etios Liva hatchback and it brings airbags, comfortable seats which offer good support to the lumbar and back. It has ample leg and head room to seat 5 passengers inside and brings simple yet elegant dashboard and centre console panel. It has many good features such as a powerful air conditioner and steering mounted audio controls for its music system. It also brings a boot space of 251 liters.


Chevrolet Sail UVA has good looking interiors which are simple yet elegant and well designed. The interior quality is very good and it has the best in class rear leg room in the hatchback segment. It has very good ingress and egress and the ergonomics are spot on for the driver. It has powerful air con, music system and brings cubby holes, glove box and boot space of 248 liters for storing your travel luggage.

Toyota Etios Liva brings a 1.2 liter petrol engine which produces 79 BHP at 5600 RPM and a maximum torque of 104 NM at 3100 RPM. ARAI has certified the petrol variant to deliver a maximum fuel efficiency of 18.31 kmpl. Toyota Liva diesel is a 1.4 liter diesel engine which produces a maximum 67 BHP and maximum torque of 170 NM from 1800 RPM to 2400 RPM. ARAI has certified the diesel engine variant to deliver a maximum fuel efficiency of 23.59 kmpl.


Chevrolet Sail UVA comes with a 1.2 liter S-TEC II petrol engine which makes 79 BHP and 108 NM of max torque. It has been rated by ARAI to deliver a max fuel efficiency of 18.3kmpl. The diesel variant makes 77 BHP at 4000 RPM and 205 NM of torque at 1750 RPM. It has been rated by ARAI to deliver 22.1 kmpl. Both engine variants are available in a 5 speed manual transmission options only and offer very good drivability and highway performance.

Toyota Etios Liva is a car with agile handling capabilities. It has very good driving dynamics and appeals to many different types of driving enthusiasts. It has very good handling in the city over bad roads and high speed stability is quite good. It has a well tuned suspension that ensures good ride quality over bad roads as well. The steering unit is light weighted and ABS + EBD and powerful brakes ensure ample stopping power.


Chevrolet Sail UVA is a fantastic handler and brings excellent highway manners with a solid handling package it remains stable around corners and has very good handling. It has a well sorted suspension and Chevy India has done well to adapt to the road conditions prevailing in India and given it powerful brakes which aided with ABS + EBD ensure ample stopping power is always available.
