Looks and design:
Toyota needed a good looking car to compete in this segment and decided to use the Etios sedan platform to build a hatchback for the car market in India. It has a understated clean design and looks very good with sporty front end and alloy wheels. It has OEM spoiler and skirts which add to the sporty character of the car. It has been well built by Toyota and the fit, finish and paint quality is very good on the Toyota Etios Liva hatchback.
Ford Figo has good exterior build quality and Ford has done a good job implementing their Kinetic design philosophy and they have further improved the design in the facelift recently. It look sportier now with the hexagonal lower grille and sharp upper grille. It has sporty alloy wheels and well designed rear and large headlamps at the front which add to the muscular and sporty character of the machine. It has very good exterior build quality, fit and finish.

Toyota Etios Liva has several good features such as keyless entry, cooled glovebox, power windows, steering mounted audio controls, adjustable driver seat amongst others. It has good interiors with elegant dashboard and seats offer good comfort and give good support to the back. It has cubby holes for keeping your knick knacks. It will accommodate four passengers easily and has plenty of leg and head room. It has 251 liters of boot space to store your luggage.
Ford brings good features with the Ford Figo hatchback. It has elegant dashboard and features blue interior trim and feature rich center console panel. It has ample leg and head room. It has comfortable seats which provide very good support to the back and there is an effective air conditioner to beat the summer heat. Toyota Etios Liva has a DOHC 1.2 liter petrol engine which produces 79 BHP at 5600 RPM and a maximum torque of 104 NM at 3100 RPM. ARAI has certified the petrol variant to deliver a maximum fuel efficiency of 18.31 kmpl. Toyota Liva diesel is a 1.4 liter diesel engine which produces a maximum 67 BHP and maximum torque of 170 NM from 1800 RPM to 2400 RPM. Toyota has done a good job with the Etios Liva in the handling department and has given us a car which is agile and easy to handle. It has good suspension which ensures good handling prowess while ensuring good level of comfort for the passengers inside. It is composed on straight highways and corners and body roll is well controlled. It has ABS + EBD which do a good job of improving braking performance and enhancing safety.
Ford Figo is one of the best handling B segment hatchbacks in the country. It has a very comfortable ride quality and manages to provide a comfortable driving experience by absorbing all the bumps and undulations on the road. It has a light steering which is well weighted and offers good feedback while driving and excellent control. It has ABS + EBD which enhance the braking and improve safety while quickly slowing down to stop from higher speeds.

Toyota Etios Liva is a very good car and has been priced very well. It brings very good features and performance and reliable Toyota service back up. Ford Figo after the facelift looks hotter than before and it was already a sales success for Ford. Figo now looks better and has good features to take it forward. Ford is improving on their service quality and a potential customer can look forward to good things from them in the future.
